Festival Del Cuatro in California on Saturday, November 15, 2008
at ScrippsCollege in Claremont California! This year, the Festival
will honor Puerto Rican women and all womenwho struggle in supporting
a cause. Thus we will feature three of the best Cuatro players in
the world,all who happen to be women: Emma Colón Zayas, Maribel
Delgado, and Nelian Colón. They willperform traditional Puerto
Rican music on Puerto Rico’s national instrument, the Cuatro.

y a todas las mujeres que luchan en una causa. Presentaremos a tres
grandes estrellas del Cuatro, todas son mujeres: Emma Colón

La Coalición Pro Folclor Puertorriqueño presenta el 6to FESTIVAL DE BOMBA Y PLENA DE FILADELFIA el sábado 28 de junio de 2008 de 2:00 PM a 6:00 PM en el parque Fairhill Square de la avenida Lehigh y la calle 4. Se presentarán los mejores grupos de plena y bomba de Filadelfia, entre ellos Los Pleneros del Batey, Bomplé, Tambueno, Philareyto y Raices de Borinquen. The Latina United States Pageant is proud to announce the 4th Annual Ms/ Teen/ Mujer Latina United States Pageant. The pageant will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2008 at 12:00PM at Pirate's Dinner Adventure in Orlando, Florida. Doors open at 11:30AM.
Latina United States Pageants celebrates the accomplishments of Latin women. Our delegates are intelligent, goal-oriented women who work hard to better our Hispanic community. These women compete with hope of advancing their careers, personal and humanitarian goals.
The Latina United States Pageant system is the creation of America Gamarra. America has been involved in the pageant world for many years. She has held numerous titles including Ms. Professional Woman International, Mrs. New York Globe and Ms. Puerto Rico 2005 Latina International. As a pageant contestant, America realized that there are not enough quality pageants for Latinas. This led to the birth of the Latina United States Pageant system.
