"En Arroz Y Habichuelas" (In Rice and Kidney Beans: Dictionary of the Boricua Spoken Language,) is hot off the press. This is an important contribution to the Puerto Rican culture. It portrays our roots and our idiosyncrasies. With more than a thousand words and phrases of daily use, the reader will be able to laugh at itself and at the same time feel included and understood as part of a rich culture. The boricuas on the Island and in the U.S.A. use these words as a way of reaffirming our people's identity, according to the author, Ixa Lopez Paláu. Without a doubt this it is an excellent gift for this Christmas. For more Information write to ilp@prtc.net
