His mother, Marisol, brought him to Windy City because, like many young Latino boys in the gym that day, he won’t stop fighting at school. She said her family has a bad temper,

and she doesn’t want Ivan fighting anyone and everyone when he grows up. She said signing him up for boxing lessons is a good way to get all of his energy out in the ring instead of the streets.
